For those Middle Schoolers reading today’s blog, most of us already know that there have been a lot of Social Media problems within our school.
As someone who’s been at CVC since pre-school, I’m disappointed that there are students out there who would try and bring others down.
Of course, I don’t want to sound like a teacher or some lecturer, no, I’m speaking out for plenty of other students within the Student Council who are quite shocked as well. As leaders of the school, it puts a bad image on our leadership and what we model within our CVC Community. It’s sad to say that plenty of students have been hurt due to how people are careless of their actions and don’t share any consent towards them.
Social Media shouldn’t be taken lightly.
I support the idea of using it to make people laugh, (as I do enjoy my own entertainment) but there’s a fine line between a joke and hurting people. You, being a Middle Schooler, know this, however, you don’t take the time to process your actions and tend to leap first before looking.
Your words have power, it really depends on what you say that affects others.
You have a choice whether to bring people up or to take them down.
You have the option whether to lose the privilege of being a trustworthy friend or a fake face who puts on a show for others to see.
t’s all on you and no one can change that except yourself.
