SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL

The Cielo Vista Charter School Site Council is comprised of the principal, plus teachers and family members, elected by their peers. Each year, the SSC considers goals for CVC, and then works with the principal to evaluate the school’s progress toward those goals. Members of the SSC develop, review and evaluate the school site plan, improvement programs, budgets, academic planning, parent engagement, safety, attendance and discipline, Resources and strategies are considered to help all students reach high standards and achieve success. Recommendations of the SSC are brought to the CVC Governing Board for final consideration and implementation.
Members of the SSC serve staggered two-year terms. Meetings for the School Site Council are held once each track. The open meetings are posted outside the school office and indicated on the school calendar.
