ARTStudents in grades TK to third grade have art for one hour a week. We do guided lessons and projects. Students use a variety of materials to create beautiful pieces of art. It is truly amazing to see what great art they can create.

MusicElementary Music Classes provide students with the music education guided by the National Art Standards for Elementary Music with resources provided by Quaver's Marvelous World of Music and its inclusion of STEAM initiative (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). Artistic processes and literacy standards are specific by grade level and instruction is developmentally appropriate with participation to maintain aesthetic, kinesthetic, and cognitive growths of each student. Artistic processes to be achieved are creating, performing, responding, and connecting in regards to the specific Art form of music. Artistic literacy to be achieved includes knowledge and understanding required to participate in the art form for a lifetime, fluency in the art language of music, and lifelong learning goals that enable an artistically literate person to transfer arts knowledge, skills, and capacities to other subjects, settings, and contexts. Through participation, the student responds to aspects of the expressive quality of music by singing, moving, playing instruments, listening, and/or creating. The goal of the elementary music program is for each student to enjoy reaching his or her fullest potential in music as shown through musical literacy, musicianship, creativity, and aesthetic sensitivity, as well as develop an appreciation for the art form.
