ACCELERATED READER PROGRAM
Mrs. Montez is very enthusiastic about our Accelerated Reading program. She makes reading fun and exciting to all grade levels. Students start to feel the positive energy and are inspired to learn to read. Students read a book and then take a test on a computer. It is designed to serve as the practice component of a comprehensive reading program. Since this program is a library-monitored reading program, all AR tests are to be taken on school campus only! Students are not allowed to take any tests at home. Awards are given out monthly to recognize those students who have achieved their school reading goals.
The Importance of Reading
All learning starts with reading! Reading is a very important part of our education. Without it we cannot take tests, or even read a math story problem. It is our goal to make sure all of our students develop to be lifelong readers and learners, which in turn will lead to successful lives and futures for them! Don’t forget, no matter how busy, sit down with your children and READ!
